Students from Telangana and Andhra Pradesh will benefit from the move as the firm currently has video lessons prepared based on the state board’s syllabus in these states. The initiative will soon extend to other states and boards as well.
“With engaging lessons delivered in a blend of English and Telugu by forward-thinking teachers, our free and easy-to-use app helps students reinforce what they learn at school. The app contains lessons that are aligned to the official curriculum of primary and secondary schools,” said Dheeraj Gorukanti, program head, Starguru, a CSR initiative of Yashoda Hospitals and Graviti Foundation.
Apart from recorded content, students also get access to live classes, doubt clearing sessions, where teachers solve exercises from textbooks and interact with teachers.
“We believe that cost and language should not hinder learning. Starguru app offers video lectures on all subjects with our initial focus being on Mathematics for primary and secondary school students. Just as there are different teaching styles, there are different learning styles and our goal is to help students discover teachers that help them learn better,” said Suguna Raman, program head of the app.
