JEE Main 2021 BArch, BPlanning exam today

JEE Main 2021 examination commenced today with B.Arch and B.Planning papers. The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main 2021) is to be conducted in four sessions this year, starting with February. The exam will be conducted in two shifts in 331 exam cities across the country with all COVID-19 precautions.

JEE Main February 2021 session will conclude on February 26 and the result is likely to be released by March 7, 2021.

JEE Main B.Arch/B.Planning Paper Pattern

The JEE Main BArch and BPlanning papers will be of a total of 400 marks each. Over 20 questions will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), and five questions will be numerical type. There is no negative marking scheme for numerical questions.

Paper 2A and 2B comprise three sections. Part 1 and Part 2–Mathematics and Aptitude Test–are the same for both papers. Part 3 of Paper 2A consists of the Drawing test, while the same for Paper 2B consists of planning-related topics.

For Paper 2A, Part 1 and Part 2 will be held in computer-based mode, while Part 3 is to be conducted in offline mode. All the parts of Paper 2B will be held in CBT mode only.

Safety measures


To ensure the safety of examinees, invigilators and other staffs at the exam centre, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has taken a variety of precautionary measures in view of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

– Hand sanitizer will be available at the entrance gate of exam centre

– Candidates need to wear mask all the time

– All seats and desks will be sanitised before exam starts

– A gap between two seats will be maintained

– Admit cards will be scanned with barcode readers

All candidates are advised to strictly adhere to the COVID-19 guidelines as mentioned on the admit card.
