The award was conferred by Padamshree Prof Balram Bhargav, director general, department of health research, ministry of health, government of India, Prof NK Lohiya president ISSRF on the occasion of 31st annual meeting of the ISSRF, 2021.
The award ceremony was held on February 19-21, 2021 at New Delhi.
KU vice-chancellor (VC) Prof Som Nath Sachdeva and registrar Sanjeev Kumar congratulated Prof Jitender Bhardwaj for this achievement.
KU VC Prof Som Nath Sachdeva said, “It is really a proud moment for Kurukshetra University that one of our teachers was selected by ISSRF for young scientist award 2021. Such awards will motivate the other faculty members of the university. Jitender Bhardwaj is also one of the good scholars of the university; he has published more than 40 research papers in journals of national and international repute. He was also invited by Oxford University, UK in 2017 and where he presented his research on reproductive health and toxicology. His research work is also highly appreciated by the scientists.”
This award is conferred in the name of Prof SS Guraya an internationally renowned scientist in the field of reproductive biology.
KU VC said that it is a matter of great pride that this time the jury of this award selected KU’s young scientist Jitender Bhardwaj for this prestigious award.
Anita Bhatnagar, chairperson department of zoology and other faculty members of the department congratulated Jitender Bhardwaj for this big achievement.
